When the woman who used to feed the feral cats had to move from the complex last summer that's when I got involved. Luckily, two other neighbors and I knew of people involved in trap-neuter-release and the cats were. What I can no longer deny, however, is that my involvement--my feeding of these cats, is not something I conduct calm cool and collected, but with much anxiety and angst. A fear grips at my gut and my heart pounds each and every time I prepare their food, and set it out for them. My friend describes my behavior as compulsive, that this is my OCD in action.
